Torgerson Ragsdale LLC
Architectural firm Torgerson Ragsdale LLC opened April 1 at 115 N. Second St., on the square in Ozark. The two staff architects, John Torgerson and Bryan Ragsdale, specialize in civic, commercial and specialty retail projects. Torgerson said the firm has a project list that includes work for Bass Pro Shops, Expedia’s call center at the old Springfield airport terminal and a youth center in El Dorado Springs. Startup costs were $10,000, Torgerson said, and the partners pay $675 a month to lease the 800-square-foot office. “History shows that some of the best companies started in times like now,” Torgerson said. “We can only go up. We have a low overhead; we’re small and nimble.” Both architects are certified by the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architecture Registration Boards. Hours: 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.–3 p.m. Friday. Phone: (417) 848-0147.

Arrowhead Building Supply Inc. opened April 21 at 181 Hollister Pointe Drive in the Hollister Pointe Commercial Retail Park. It is the St. Louis-based company’s fifth location, joining three St. Louis-area stores and one in Strafford. Arrowhead Building Supply sells siding, roofing, decking, vinyl railing, windows, doors, skylights, ventilation products and other accessories. Pogue said the company also delivers such items for lumberyards and home-supply stores. “We make lumberyards (our) customers,” he said. “We deliver shingles for the lumberyards.
