ServiceMaster Commercial Cleaning by Dixon LLC acquired the franchise rights of ServiceMaster Clean by Bitney effective June 1. The janitorial company serves Rolla, Waynesville, St. Robert and Springfield from its 839 VFW Memorial Drive, Ste. 5, office in St. Robert. Harry and Bonnie Dixon, of Reno, Nev., bought the rights from Clyde and Diane Bitney, who are retiring. “The Bitneys have agreed to help us out until July, which is very helpful,” said franchise manager Ernie Cobbett. “A major client we have is Fort Leonard Wood, and we’re doing what they call a ‘move-in, move-out,’ or a white-glove cleaning.” The Memphis, Tenn.-based franchise offers commercial cleaning, mostly for office buildings and medical facilities. Tractor Supply Co. opened June 26 at 525 W. Northview Road in Nixa. The Brentwood, Tenn.-based farm and ranch supply chain operates 936 stores in 44 states with a presence in Missouri since 1970. The Nixa store is 19,050 square feet, and a fencing display surrounds the 20,000-square-feet exterior. “We sell Purina feeds, Ingersoll Rand compressors, Hobart welders, Ariat boots, Wrangler jeans and clothing – basically all farm and home-type merchandise,” said Greg Wagnon, store manager.
