Uncle Lloyd’s Cookie Co.
Uncle Lloyd’s Cookie Co., 1653 E. Sunshine St., serves more flavors of oatmeal cookies than it has employees serving them. The sandwich shop and cookie bakery opened May 19, said owner Lloyd Babcock. The shop has 12 workers, who pay close attention to the pure ingredients with no preservatives used in baking, sandwiches and smoothies, said Babcock, who’s given up on having a favorite out of Uncle Lloyd’s 18 oatmeal cookie varieties. “Yesterday, my favorite was an ice cream cookie sandwich with cranberry orange spiced cookies and strawberry ice cream,” said the former residential contractor. Single cookies are $1.39 with the exception of the 99-cent ultimate oatmeal cookie and the guinea pig special and cookie of the month for $1.19. Hours: 6 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m.–9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Phone: (417) 882-6654.
