OPEC rebuffs US calls for faster oil output

OPEC and its allies are sticking with their plan to raise oil output by 400,000 barrels per day from December.

The news amounted to a rebuff to the United States, which has called on extra supply to curb rising prices.

Global benchmark Brent crude recently hit a three-year high.

I got a crazy idea, why don't we go back to pumping our own oil. Wouldn't new refineries and re-opening progress on Keystone be called infrastructure ? Thought "infrastructure" was what our present administration is all about

We are now "begging" for other countries to expand production and output while the same government officials are doing everything in their power to reduce our own production capacity to near zero.
