Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realtors Peggy Mitchell and Linda Jeffries returned from the 2007 Five Star Default Servicing Conference in Dallas with real estate owned certification. Both Mitchell and Jeffries completed course work that included specializing in broker price opinions for the valuation of foreclosed properties, training in property preservation and effective marketing of foreclosures.

Emily Lines, a 2007 Central High School graduate, received a $6,000 Founder’s Scholarship from Educational Communications Inc. at an award ceremony in Washington D.C. Lines was one of 10 students nationwide chosen for the scholarship.
Springfield Public Schools’ internal auditor, Tina McManus, received the MetLife/Association of School Business Officials International Bridges to the Future Program’s $1,500 scholarship.
