Richard Pazdur, a longtime oncology expert at the Food and Drug Administration, has been tapped by the Trump administration to serve as the nation’s top drug regulator.
Pazdur was selected to head up the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.
George Tidmarsh, the center's former leader, resigned after being placed on leave over allegations that he misused his authority.
