SBJ is interested in photos of area business events for its weekly On the Street photo feature. We're looking for candid shots of people working or interacting with each other. We'll pass, however, on the group, podium and hand-shake photos. Photos submitted by e-mail should be in jpeg format, and must have a resolution of at least 300 dpi.

SISTER CITIES

The Springfield Sister Cities Association, in partnership with the Springfield-Greene County Parks Department, will hold its sixth annual Japanese Fall Festival 5-10 p.m. Sept. 6, and 1-10 p.m. Sept. 7-8 in the Japanese Stroll Garden at Nathanael Greene Park, 2400 S. Scenic Ave. The event will feature 11 members of the Yagi-bushi group from Springfield's sister city, Isesaki, Japan. Yagi-bushi is the traditional Japanese folk music and dance. Festival admission, which includes admission to the stroll garden, is $4 for adults and $2 for children.

SLICE OF NICE

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society's annual MS 150 Bike Tour will be held Sept. 14-15. The Ozark Branch, Mid-America Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will unite more than 900 bicyclists and 500 volunteers in southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas in the fight against MS, an unpredictable neurological disease.
