North Town Mall Supercenter?|ret||ret||tab|

One of North Town Mall's longest-running tenants closed shop in January, ending a 20-year run. Anne's Hallmark co-owner Sharon Ripperger said a six-month lease, all that's offered by mall owner Wal-Mart, was not conducive to business operations. Ripperger said a Wal-Mart representative told store management at the time of closing that Wal-Mart intended to convert North Town Mall into a Wal-Mart Supercenter and add a Sam's Club at Highway 65 and Division. Mall manager Rebecca Thomas said she knows "absolutely nothing at this point" about Wal-Mart's plans, but she is anxious for something to happen. "I know for certain there will be changes. I just don't know what or when," Thomas said. Wal-Mart officials did not return phone calls inquiring about plans for the space.|ret||ret||tab|
