City Restaurant Health Inspections

Listed here are the restaurant health inspections conducted by the Springfield-Greene County Health Department. Restaurants are inspected for critical and noncritical violations of state standards. According to the Springfield-Greene County inspection code, critical violations are “more likely than other violations to contribute to food contamination, illness and/or injury.” And noncritical violations, “although important to the overall food hygiene of the establishment, do not necessarily present an immediate threat to food contamination, illness and/or injury.” The number of both critical and noncritical violations are given and specific critical violations are listed. *Denotes a critical violation.

June 12–16, 2006

Agrario, 311 S. Patton; Critical violations found: 2. *Temperatures of potentially hazardous food in walk-in cooler 47 F. (Requires potentially hazardous food to be cold-held at 41 F or below.) Unit adjusted and temperatures were 41 F at end of inspection. *Soda gun at upstairs bar not clean. (Requires food-contact surfaces to be cleaned and sanitized at frequency to be clean to sight and touch.) Corrected by washing, rinsing and sanitizing. Noncritical violations found: 1.

Assemblies Of God Headquarters, 1445 Boonville; Critical violations found: 0. Noncritical violations found: 3.

Billiards Of Springfield, 541 E. St Louis; Critical violations found: 2. *Bare-handed contact with buns and hamburgers. (Requires no bare-handed contact with ready-to-eat foods: ice, buns, cooked burgers, lettuce, etc.) Facility has tongs, deli tissues and gloves. Corrected. *Raw burgers 51 F in cook-line deli cooler at 12:30 pm. Manager states that the burger patties were prepared about 11:30-12:00, so they placed burgers in kitchen reach-in cooler. Noncritical violations found: 5.

Cooper Soccer Plex Concession, 2321 E. Pythian; Reinspection: No evidence of mice at this time. Noncritical violations have been corrected. Critical violations found: 0. Noncritical violations found: 0.

Braum’s, 2617 W. Republic; Inspection done due to complaint. Critical violations found: 5. *Refrigerated make table at 50 F at 6:30pm (Refrigeration must hold cold at 45 F or below. Do not use for potentially hazardous foods until reinspected). *Dipper wells not operational to flush ice cream particles from water. (Must wash, rinse or sanitize every four hours or correct dipper wells to flush particles.) *Hot water not operational at hand sink in middle of front line. (Hot water must be operational at all hand sinks). *Dead roaches and mouse droppings in cabinet under warming tray. (Clean up dead bugs and droppings; continue to use pest control measures to rid premises of pests.) *Glass cleaner spray bottle hung up pointing at dipper well and cone station. (Chemicals must be kept separate from foodstuff.) Corrected immediately. Noncritical violations found: 4.

Dairy Queen, 1411 W. Kearney; Critical violations found: 3. *Fish found in hot bin at 123 F. (Maintain hot holding temperature of at least 140 F.) Corrected by reheating to 165 F and holding above 140 F. *Inside of ice machine is not clean (mold growth). (Remove ice, and wash, rinse, and sanitize interior of machine.) *Degreaser found stored directly next to bananas. (Remove and store all toxic items separate from food items, so as to prevent cross-contamination.) Corrected on site by removal. Noncritical violations found: 4.

Dairy Queen, 1411 W. Kearney; Reinspection: All previously listed violations have been corrected. Critical violations found: 0. Noncritical violations found: 0.

Dairy Queen Brazier, 307 S. Jefferson; Critical violations found: 1. *Two bottles of multipurpose cleaner unlabeled. Owner labeled. Noncritical violations found: 1.

Digiacinto, 2259 S. Campbell; Reinspection: Corrections: No bare-hand contact observed with ready-to-eat foods, garlic in oil held on refrigerated make table, bleach container labeled. Critical violations found: 0. Noncritical violations found: 0.

Dillon’s Bakery, 1260 E. St. Louis; Critical violations found: 0. Noncritical violations found: 1.

Dillon’s Deli, 1260 E. St. Louis; Critical violations found: 1. *Inside ice machine deflector and chute not clean. (Clean and sanitize.) Noncritical violations found: 0.

Dillon’s Food Bar, 1260 E. St. Louis; Critical violations found: 1. *Can opener blade is rusty. (Clean and sanitize or replace.) Noncritical violations found: 1.

Dillon’s Food Bar, 1260 E. St. Louis; Reinspection: Violations corrected, can opener blade replaced, clean and sanitized. Critical violations found: 0. Noncritical violations found: 0.

Doctors’ Hospital Of Springfield, 2828 N. National; Critical violations found: 1. *Two pans put away on clean equipment shelves not clean. (Requires food-contact surfaces to be clean to sight and touch.) Corrected by rewashing in chemical sanitizing dish machine. Noncritical violations found: 5.

Domino’s Pizza, 2642 W. Sunshine; Reinspection: Permit suspended. No food prep to be done until permit reissued and hot water operational. Critical violation from previous inspection corrected. Critical violations found: 2. *No hot water available upon arrival. (Must have adequate hot water for peak demand.) *Spray bottle of chemical not labeled. (If chemical moved from original container must be labeled.) Corrected immediately. Noncritical violations found: 0.

Domino’s Pizza, 2642 W. Sunshine; Reinspection: Hot water operational at 1 p.m. Permit reissued at that time. Critical violations found: 0. Noncritical violations found: 0.

Drury Inn & Suites, 2715 N. Glenstone; Reinspection: Inside of ice machine was clean at this time. No sign of gnats. Critical violations found: 0. Noncritical violations found: 0.

El Taco, 316 W. Kearney; Critical violations found: 0. Noncritical violations found: 1.
