Community-wide efforts have raised $189,705 for The Kitchen. The Messiah Project donated $2,282 to The Kitchen, while the Smith-Glynn-Callaway Medical Foundation Fund contributed $2,000 to the organization. The Kitchen needs $200,000 for the balance of the year.

OACAC Head Start has received a grant from Reading is Fundamental. RIF and OACAC Head Start are teaming up to teach the fun of reading with a distribution of books and short stories read by KY-3's Ned Reynolds and Brandon Beck.
