David H. Covey has been named to the board of directors for the Library Foundation. Covey served on the board of trustees for the Library district from 1993 to 1997. He is a vice president and chief executive officer for Giddens Companies in Springfield.
Miriam Clark, of Cox Health Systems, has been elected and installed as the 1998-1999 board president of the American Heart Association in Greene County. Clark has served the AHA in various capacities in the past.
The Missouri Division of Professional Secretaries International has elected officers for 1998-1999: Sally A. Nelson, CPS, of Dayco Products Inc., president; Melynda P. Porg?s, CPS, of National General Insurance Company, president elect; Donna G. Baker, CPS, of Hallmark Cards Inc., secretary; and Betty S. Sargent, CPS, of SMSU, treasurer.
