Curt Brown of KTTS-AM/FM, KLTQ-FM, has been selected as a Radio Wayne Award finalist in the category of GM of the Year. The award is presented by Radio Ink magazine.

Sunbelt Environmental Services Inc. announced that 1998 was its best year for safety ever. After 51,300 hours of work there were no reportable accidents and no lost time.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce gave Sen. Christopher S. "Kit" Bond, chairman for the Senate Committee on Small Business, its "Spirit of Free Enterprise" award for his support of business issues in the second session of the 105th Congress.

Scott George, a small business owner in Mt. Vernon, has been appointed to the Regulatory Advisory Committee of the National Federation of Independent Business. As a member, George will influence the development and enforcement of federal regulations.

The Table Rock Lake/Kimberling City Area Chamber of Commerce has presented Silver Dollar City Inc. with a Chamber Booster of the Month plaque. The award honors SDC's support as host of Silver Dollar City Day, and as a sponsor for the Port of Lights, golf tournaments and the annual chamber banquet.

International Division Inc. has been recognized for outstanding sales by Ziggity Systems, a worldwide leader in poultry watering products. The company received a diamond award for selling more than 50 miles of watering pipe.
