Snelling and Snelling Inc. announced the winners of the 1998 National Professional Employment Consultants Awards. Georgia Douglas was inducted into the President's Circle. Charlie Grif, Sadie Burns and Marge Conyers were presented with the Century Award.

Bill Buesgen has been named 1999 Marshfieldian of the Year by the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Buesgen, owner of the The Dickey House Bed & Breakfast, was honored for his service and dedication to the Marshfield Community. He served as the coordinator for the erection of the Hubble Telescope replica on the Marshfield square and was successful in obtaining the grant monies for the tree planted on the Interstate 44 Marshfield Exit.

Wayne Martin has been presented with the 1998 Sam Walton Business Leader Award by the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Other award recipients include Audie DeHart, Lifetime Achievement in Education[[In-content Ad]]
