ACHIEVEMENTS

Paul Dizmang of Dizmang Associates First Choice Real Estate, received the Gold Medal Club Qualifier Award for 2000 from the Greater Springfield board of Realtors at its April 20 Awards of Excellence ceremony. The award signifies that Dizmang is among the top 1 percent of Realtors in the Springfield area.

Ed Barton of BrickKicker Home Inspection was accepted as a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors. To achieve membership, Barton met rigorous professional and technical requirements, including the successful completion of two comprehensive exams, and performing at least 250 fee-paid home inspections.

Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realtors was ranked in the top five in buyer controlled sales, closed revenue units gross commission income and listings sold in the state of Missouri for the fourth quarter of 2000. In addition, Ethel Curbow, Kirk Hewitt, Peggy Mitchell and Faunlee Harle were honored as top associate producers in Missouri for the same quarter. Curbow was ranked No. 1 in gross commission income, buyer controlled sales, closed revenue units and listings sold. Hewitt was ranked fifth in buyer controlled sales and seventh in gross commission income. Mitchell was ranked No. 4 in the state for listings sold and No. 8 in closed revenue units. Harle was ranked ninth in the state of Missouri for buyer controlled sales.

United Country-Suburban Brokers of Ash Grove earned the Diamond Award for outstanding sales performance in 2000 from United Country Real Estate. The Ash Grove affiliate is owned by Brenda R. Ellsworth. Sales associates with the company are John Schrader, Joyce Weber, Hollee Johanson, Nan Moore, Shelia Schrader and Cheryl Martin.

Kris Bossert, owner of B.A.I. Appraisal Service, has received the Missouri State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser designation. This is the highest appraisal designation recognized by the State of Missouri and certifies the appraiser to value all types of commercial and residential property. It requires 3,000 hours of appraisal experience, 180 hours of classroom credit, and the applicant must pass the general real estate appraisers examination. Bossert has five years' appraisal experience and was a commercial loan officer at a local bank prior to entering the appraisal industry. B.A.I. Appraisal Service has been in business since 1999 and employs two full-time residential appraisers and one commercial appraiser.

The Greater Springfield Board of Realtors presented several awards at its April 20 Award of Excellence banquet at Hickory Hills Country Club. The event honored Realtor members who achieved listing volumes of $2 million and above in the bronze, silver and gold medal categories. Other specific awards also were given. Deb Ledford, Keller Williams Realty, was presented the Rookie of the Year Award in recognition of her diligence in selling, leasing and/or listing $1 million of property during her first full 12 months in real estate. Tammie Tucker, A.R. Wilson Realtors, received the Margaret Martin Cooperative Spirit Award. The award recognizes notable contributions to the association and is given to an individual for faithfulness to the principals and Realtor's code of ethics and community involvement. Bob Fitzgerald was named Realtor/Broker of the Year, which is the highest award presented by the board to a Realtor member and Cass Williams, Jones & Company Realtors, was awarded the Realtor/Salesperson of the Year (see the story on page 27). Phyllis Netzer, Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realtors, was named member of the year of the Women's Council of Realtors.
