On the market: Inside Chris Carpenter's Ladue mansion

Posted online
For $3.65 million, a lucky Cardinals fan can live in a piece of Cardinal nation – sort of.

Former Red Birds pitching ace Chris Carpenter has listed his 10,800-square-foot St. Louis-area home on the market.

Carpenter purchased the home, at 809 S. Warson Road, in March 2007. The St. Louis Business Journal reports the five-bedroom, six-bathroom home was built in 2006 and includes a 1,000-bottle wine cellar, a theater room, a golf simulator and a four-car garage.

Carpenter is a Cy Young award winner and helped lead the Cardinals to two World Series titles. He retired in November and now works in the Cardinals' front office.
