Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance Services has opened an office at 301-C W. Hwy. 60, in Republic's Plaza Southwest Center. The phone number is 732-0202. Ed Cook is the agent for the new office, which joins the other Greene County office in Springfield.
Republic was chosen for a new office because the Farm Bureau's insurance business is growing in this part of the county, according to Cook. The office offers home, life, auto, farm and health insurance and is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and other times by appointment.
Some of the Farm Bureau's more popular insurance products are a guaranteed renewable policy for drivers over age 50; preferred life products, which have seen a 22 percent rate decrease since Jan. 1; and preferred insurance rates for smokers.
