Springfield, MO

A new Village Inn restaurant opened in Ozark Sept. 29, managed by Charles Green. The restaurant is open 6 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6 a.m.-midnight on Friday and Saturday. It will employ around 40 people and is owned by Bill and Bob Green, who also own three Springfield Village Inns.
The 4,500-square-foot Ozark restaurant seats 161 people and is located at 850 N. 17th St., at the top of the hill at Highway 14 and Highway 65.
A separate, glassed-in smoking area, with its own ventilation and air conditioning systems, is featured in the Ozark restaurant, making it only the third Village Inn in the country to offer this amenity.
The restaurant's layout is a new prototype for the Greens, who have owned Village Inns in Springfield for 33 years. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner any time, and features fresh pies, with a new feature pie introduced every two months.
The Greens chose the Ozark location because of the area's rapid growth and its location on Highway 65 to Branson.
