On The Edges--Nixa

Posted online

by Diane Rarick

The Missouri Department of Transportation will complete a project during October at State Highway 160 and South Street (one block south of State Highway 14), according to Burt Pitchford, area engineer.

Crews are widening turn lanes, resurfacing the road, improving drainage and adding a traffic light. The project will provide safer access to residential areas, Dollar General, B&A Furniture and Port Arrowhead Springfield on the west side of 160, and an Amoco station and the Nixa Post Office to the east.

The contract work should be done by Nov. 1, followed by traffic signal installation, Pitchford said.
