The Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Nov. 19 at Exotic Tans and Dazzlin' Duds. The two new businesses opened at 1856 N. Commerce St. (State Highway 160 and CC behind Commerce Bank). Exotic Tans is a "premiere tanning boutique," while Dazzlin' Duds features clothing, jewelry, candles, Beanie Babies, gifts and gift baskets.

Downtown Springfield grocery store Park Central Market changed hands; India Visser purchased Case Real Estate from longtime owner Hoover Case; and Daniel and Megan Deal launched Real Deal Coffee Co. in Nixa.
