At the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet Jan. 30, several awards were presented. Retiring board members Brenda Urvan, Earline Swope, Rick Barnhouse and Bill Todd were honored.

A special recognition award was given to Jessica Clement, a senior at Nixa High School, who served as an intern and only employee when the chamber was without an executive director last fall.

The Member of the Year Award was presented to attorney Bill Todd, who served as a member of the board, was chairman of the governmental relations committee and started Christian County Partnership for Progress. New President Stacy McNeill presented the past president's award to Keith Roberts, of Empire Realty.
