A Braum's Ice Cream restaurant/store will be built in Nixa at the northwest corner of State Highway 160 and Wasson Road, according to Roger Phillips of Phillips Engineering in Springfield.
The 1.3-acre site will include a 5,813-square foot restaurant/retail store and 83 parking spaces.
Customers will be able to access the store from either Wasson Road or Old Wilderness Road.
Construction is slated to begin in this month, according to Phillips, who did the site design and engineering.
The plans have been on the drawing board for three years. In addition, the company is building four Braum's stores in Springfield.
Andi Schwab, of Braum's headquarters in Oklahoma City, said that the Nixa store has a tentative opening date of the first week of July 1999.
