Java Jolt Cafe gets new owner, name, menu|ret||ret||tab|
A former executive chef at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas is the new owner of Le Cour Cafe, formerly Java Jolt Cafe, 564 W. Mt. Vernon. Harold Jensen bought the restaurant from Trish Ferguson Dec. 15. Jensen, who brings 13 years of resort restaurant experience in the West, South and East, has changed the menu to upscale gourmet for breakfast and lunch. Le Cour Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday. A bar has been added, and once a resort liquor license is approved, Jensen plans to stay open for dinner Thursday through Saturday.|ret||ret||tab|
The cafe also offers catering and floral delivery. Some of Jensen's featured menu items include eggs Benedict, lox and bagels, pureed basil bisque and a gold-medal-winning gumbo. |ret||ret||tab|
He plans to add patio dining in the spring. Jensen said he moved to Nixa to be closer to his grandfather. Jensen's daughter also works at the cafe with four other employees.|ret||ret||tab|
"The atmosphere is awesome, with roses on the tables and great art on the walls. We still feature bulk coffees and syrups. I use local suppliers such as Ozark Mountain Coffee Co., which roasts my coffee to order. I use Arrowhead Orchard & Bakery for jellies and jams, and we even buy wines locally," Jensen said. "Customers tell me the food is so beautiful they don't know whether to eat it or frame it."|ret||ret||tab|

Sixty-Five Marketplace submitted for review|ret||ret||tab|
A 71-acre, mixed-use development, Sixty-Five Marketplace, will bring a preliminary plat to the Ozark Planning & Zoning Commission for review Jan. 18. The development is a joint venture of TriStar Business Communities of St. Louis and S.L. Stinnett Co. of Springfield.|ret||ret||tab|
Steve Stinnett, who has been involved in Primrose Marketplace, Battlefield Village and Turnberry Estates, said he is responsible for marketing and overseeing the entire project. He expects the Ozark City Council to give final approval in early February. The planned community development will consist of hotels, shopping areas, restaurants and offices located at Highway 65 and CC.|ret||ret||tab|
"I anticipate construction starting May 1, with infrastructure complete by September," Stinnett said. "It's a very viable location for mixed-use development. I feel very positive about the future potential."|ret||ret||tab|
An announcement of the names of the hotel, restaurants and retail stores will be made later, Stinnett said. "We've sold a lot of parcels and they will start as soon as infrastructure is complete. The hotel, a couple of restaurants and shopping center will go up within the first year," he said. Parcels from one to 20 acres are available.|ret||ret||tab|
David Brock, Public Works director for the city of Ozark, said the Missouri Department of Transportation will widen CC and J highways in the area to three lanes. "It has been bid out and they want to get it finished prior to June to beat the (Ozark Mountain Ducks) baseball season," he said. |ret||ret||tab|
Stinnett said the project also includes a planned rerouting of the service road to line up with a new intersection at Hopedale and J Highway. [[In-content Ad]]
