Chamber announces events, new members
Potential members of the Aurora Area Chamber of Commerce are invited to a membership coffee 7:30-8:30 a.m. July 9 in the depot, 121 E. Olive.
At a June 30 chamber business meeting, the Aurora Animal Clinic received a Show Dawg Award for its new building at 1510 E. Church. Also, L&M Athletics received a certificate of appreciation for its service to youth in local sports. L&M Athletics is located at 1510 S. Elliot.

The former Kmart store on the grounds of the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World and Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium is slated for demolition, according to a permit on file with the city of Springfield.
