Chamber announces new officers|ret||ret||tab|
Members of the Aurora Area Chamber of Commerce elected a new board for 2000. Officers are President Dawn Oplinger, Bioproducts; Vice President David Young, Tyson's Feed Mill; and Treasurer Marcia Sadler. Other board members are Linda Barton, Dr. Kirstin Bloss, Kelly Ellison, Herb Jessee, Dennis Lawrence, Alana Pharis, Matt Pruente, Eric Seifried, Lisa Smedley, Judy Willard, Joe Woodcock and Melinda Wurfel. |ret||ret||tab|
The new leaders will be installed at the chamber's annual winter banquet and annual general membership meeting Jan. 29 at Robinson School. The Lloyd R. Ellis Award and the Community Service Award will also be presented. Tickets for the banquet, including appetizers, dinner, awards ceremony and entertainment are $12 in advance or $15 at the door.|ret||ret||tab|
The chamber also announced that it will sponsor a new home, garden and leisure show, the Dawg'wood Days of Spring April 29-30. Admission will be free. It will feature exhibits and information on home interiors and exteriors (gardens, patios, pools, decks, spas) as well as leisure exhibits such as boats, motor homes, motorcycles and golf. The Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a Brown Bag Luncheon at noon Jan. 27 at the Neosho Neighborhood Recreation Center, 418 Fairground Road. Bryce McDermott, a CPA and controller for Branco Enterprises, will speak on Benefit Plans for Small Businesses. The event is free for chamber members, though reservations are requested. The chamber will also hold its annual Chamber Day in Jefferson City Feb. 16. A group will carpool for the tour of the capital and meetings with state legislators, according to Nina Eads, the chamber's executive director.|ret||ret||tab|

Tokyo distributor visits Aire-Master|ret||ret||tab|
The Tokyo distributor for EsScents products, Nobby Yamada, visited Aire-Master of America Inc. headquarters in Nixa Dec. 19-21. Yamada, who is with the Enteck/Sangu Corporation, toured the manufacturing plant and received training at Aire-Master's home office. Yamada has been distributing the EsScents product line in Japan since 1997. Yamada toured the area with Jim Roudenis, Aire-Master franchise director, and Kathy Sammon, who started work in November as marketing representative for the EsScents product line. Aire-Master manufactures and distributes commercial odor-control products and other sanitary supplies. Aire-Master also provides deodorizing and disinfecting services to businesses.|ret||ret||tab|
