McCauley Park design timeline set
A community forum on McCauley Park held Feb. 26 attracted a "continuous stream of people who expressed concerns or support for the project," said City Administrator Brian Bingle. Seventy-three people filled out questionnaires to provide input on the most and least desired features of a community building and aquatic facility in McCauley Park. Representatives of Sapp Design Associates and Larkin Aquatics were at the forum to meet the public and display photos and drawings of possible designs.
On March 2, the Nixa Board of Aldermen reviewed input from the community forum. At 6:30 p.m. March 22 the aldermen will review the consultants' schematic designs for the facilities, according to Bingle. Another community forum is scheduled for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 1 at City Hall to introduce the designs and receive more public input. The board will review the results of the community forum at noon, April 5, and will vote to accept plans at noon on April 5 or 12.
