New downtown coffee bar opens
Kaffe Metropolitan held a ribbon cutting with the Aurora Area Chamber of Commerce March 29. Located at 120 Madison, the downtown restaurant is owned by Tim Hitsman. He remodeled the space, exposing original wood rafters and brick, and refurbished the hardwood floors. "It's really a unique place and is great for downtown Aurora," said Coleen Foster, of the Aurora chamber.
The restaurant is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and 4-10 p.m. Saturday. Light lunch-style meals are served, including soups, sandwiches, muffins, gourmet desserts, espressos, cappuccinos and fresh fruit smoothies.
A computer corner will offer Internet access for an hourly charge. Board and card games are also available. Call 678-2893 for more information.
