Jamesmark Bancshares Inc., the parent company of OMB Bank, has launched a new insurance affiliate.
Called OMB Insurance, the affiliate's creation comes after Jamesmark Bancshares in January purchased Springfield-based American Eagle Insurance Agency and its book of business, according to a news release.
“This partnership strengthens our ability to support our customers in meaningful ways,” said Mark Harrington, CEO of OMB Bank, in the release. “For our commercial customers, it creates a natural connection between lending and insurance that helps businesses better protect their operations and assets. At the same time, it allows us to offer convenient home and auto coverage through a trusted local team.”
Katie Merritt has joined OMB Insurance as an agent, bringing 12 years of industry experience from American Eagle Insurance Agency.
"OMB Insurance will work closely with OMB Bank lenders to provide commercial insurance solutions that complement lending relationships, while also offering home and vehicle insurance options for customers and families," officials said in the release.
