Oklahoma storm damage could exceed $150M

The damage from a slate of severe storms, tornadoes and flooding to hit Oklahoma last month could exceed $150 million.

The estimate comes from Albert Ashwood, the state’s emergency management director. On Tuesday, Ashwood appeared with the governor and other state officials to outline progress on ongoing storm assesments.

In all, 70 of Oklahoma’s 77 counties reported damage from recent storms, and $13 million in damaged roads, bridges and other public facilities has been reported.
