Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter yesterday filed suit against three opioid distributors.
In the lawsuit, Hunter named Cardinal Health Inc., McKesson Corp. and AmerisourceBergen Corp.
"Oklahoma is in crisis. ... The source of this crisis is the flood of prescription opioids that has inundated Oklahoma for the past two decades," the lawsuit reads. "It is a man-made crisis. It was brought into being by the pharmaceutical industry."
Hunter's office in August 2019 won a $465 million judgment against opioid manufacturer Johnson & Johnson.
