Ohio tire manufacturer occupying vacant Marshfield plant

Posted online
Reynoldsburg, Ohio-based Americana Tire and Wheel announced plans to invest $1.5 million with the opening of an assembly plant in Marshfield.

The move would create 20 jobs paying above the average wage for Webster County, according to a news release.

This fall, Americana purchased a Marshfield building previously occupied by Diamond International. The company plans to have its assembly facility fully functional by month’s end.

Americana, which manufactures trailer tire and wheel assemblies, as well as Load Star and Kenda Karrier Radial tires, also operates facilities in Elkhart, Ind., York, Pa., and Blackshear, Ga.

The Marshfield Development League and Springfield Regional Economic Partnership worked with company executives to secure state incentives through the Missouri Works program, which grants tax benefits when jobs are created, according to the release.[[In-content Ad]]
