Ohio’s attorney general filed suit against Meta Platforms Inc., the parent company of Facebook.
The lawsuit alleges the company misled the public about how it controlled its algorithm and the effects its products have on children, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The suit seeks more than $100 billion in damages.
"This suit is without merit and we will defend ourselves vigorously," said Joe Osborne, a Meta spokesperson.
