A fire that broke out early this morning in a small building at National Enzyme Co.’s headquarters in Forsyth was contained by firefighters.
The Taney County Fire Department was notified immediately after the fire broke out. The cause has not been determined, according to an NEC news release.
Six employees have been relocated, but no injuries were reported as no one was in the building at the time of the fire.
"Buildings and equipment can always be replaced. As a company, we are relieved that the fire occurred in the early hours of the morning before any employees had arrived for work,” NEC Chief Operating Officer Charlie Amidon said in the release.
The release did not state what type of work is performed in the building or how much damage was incurred. Spokeswoman Jennifer Brown could not be reached for comment by deadline.
NEC employs over 100 and produces custom enzyme formulas including dietary supplements for humans and animals.[[In-content Ad]]
