The man who last year shot Springfield Police Department Officer Aaron Pearson yesterday was sentenced to life in prison, as well as 115 additional years, according to a Springfield News-Leader report.
Joshua Hagood, 34, was sentenced by Judge David Jones. In August, Hagood was found guilty by a jury of first-degree assault on a law enforcement officer and two other felonies.
Hagood's sentence breaks down to 30 years or life in prison for the first-degree assault, 100 years for armed criminal action and 15 years for unlawful possession of a firearm.
