A sister company to Office Concepts has recently opened for business, presenting both owners and customers with new possibilities in products and services.
Office Concepts Computer Center, located in the Elfindale Center, opened Dec. 19, providing full-scale service and support for office computer equipment.
Dan Moore, chief executive officer of Office Concepts Computer Center, said he and Office Concepts' owner, Steve Moore, first considered the extended services last year in response to advances in office equipment much of which has gone to a digital format to allow computer tie-in.
"(Office equipment) has all gone digital now," Dan Moore said. "We saw this coming, so we went ahead and implemented the computer side of things."
The move should allow customers to more easily tie together their individual or networked computer workstations to copiers, printers, scanners and other office equipment.
"It's all about connectivity," Dan Moore said. "This gives people the chance to do things directly from the PC, and not rely on a hard copy."
Tied in with the products and services of Office Concepts, the sister companies can effectively serve any and all office equipment needs with one-stop shopping, he added.
"If their computer goes down or their copier goes down or anything goes down, they have one number to call, and we can come out and service everything," Moore said.
Moore said the customer response has been very positive to the addition so far.
"Many of our customers are really glad we have done it," Moore said. "They are just ecstatic that we are doing this computer company."
He added that computer sales have increased threefold in the two months since the addition.
Moore said he expected figures to continue to rise in the future as the word gets out on
the new company's products and services.
In order to meet the rising demand, the companies are planning to add more employees to the combined staff of 21 in the near future, Moore said.
Remodeling is also under way to convert unused office space into a larger showroom to be shared between the two companies.
