O’Fallon's Herndon Aerospace purchased in $210M deal

O’Fallon-based supply chain management and hardware distributor Herndon Aerospace & Defense LLC was acquired in a cash deal for $210 million by Wellington, Fla.-based KLX Inc.
 
Herndon, which serves military depots and commercial aerospace markets, was formed Nov. 12 when Herndon Products merged with Houston, Texas-based Polygon Aerospace.
 
KLX officials said the acquisition is expected to finalize in the second half of 2016.
 
Herndon’s 2015 revenue was $132.5 million and KLX’s was $1.57 billion, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.
