An O'Fallon resident pleaded guilty to stealing from her former employer, Prairie Farms Dairy Supply Co., and one of its clients, a Dairy Queen store in Columbia, Illinois.
Stephanie Baker, 48, admitted to taking more than $48,000 from the Dairy Queen owner by explaining she must be paid in cash for the store to continue receiving dairy products and supplies. In reality, she pocketed the funds for personal expenses, according to her guilty plea.
Baker said she applied payments from other customers to the Dairy Queen account to cover up her scheme, according to the plea.
