OCH adds occupational medicine program

Posted online
Ozarks Community Hospital this month added an occupational medicine program specifically tailored to employers to its clinic services, hospital spokeswoman Andrea Harp said.

Housed at the OCH Evergreen Clinic, 1540 E. Evergreen St., the program is led by orthopedic specialist Dr. Edwin Roeder and nurse practitioner Laura Clark, who Harp said expanded their roles at OCH to take on the new program.

“Our program is ideal for area businesses in need of access to both preventative and reactive employee health care services, such as an injury on the job,”
Evergreen Clinic administrator Mary Sherrer said in a news release.

The program offers a number of treatments, including employer physicals, minor burn treatment, fracture care, basic eye exams and treatment of sprains and strains, as well as physical therapy and lab work.

The occupational medicine program becomes part of OCH’s system of two hospitals and 15 clinics in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas, according to the release.[[In-content Ad]]
