President Barack Obama on Monday asked Congress for a $263 million response to Ferguson that calls for the increased use of body cameras by police.
He's also asking for expanded training for law enforcement, additional resources for police department reform and an increase in the number of cities where the U.S. Department of Justice facilitates community and law enforcement agency engagement, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.
The money would be spread over three years and would help purchase 50,000 body cameras for law enforcement.
