Obama plans to make it easier to pay your student loans

President Barack Obama is set to sign a presidential memorandum Tuesday directing federal agencies to overhaul the way Americans repay their student loans.

According to the Washington Post, the memorandum calls on the U.S. Department of Education to create a website by July 2016 that would serve as a simple way to file complaints and provide feedback about federal student lenders, servicers, collection agencies and even their schools. The portal is supposed to help the department to quickly respond to complaints.

In essence, the president is attempting to cut out the middlemen, student loan servicers, according to the article.
