The New York Stock Exchange dropped its plans to delist three Chinese telecommunications firms.
The NYSE had sought to remove China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom to comply with a November executive order from President Donald Trump. The companies were accused in the order of aiding the Chinese military.
The China Securities Regulatory Commission on Monday said the order was based on "political purposes" and "entirely ignored the actual situations of relevant companies and the legitimate rights of the global investors, and severely damaged market rule and order."
