NYSE owner agrees to buy Ellie Mae

New York Stock Exchange owner Intercontinental Exchange Inc. agreed to acquire mortgage software firm Ellie Mae.

The deal is valued at roughly $11 billion. The seller, private equity firm Thoma Bravo, bought Ellie Mae last year for $3.7 billion.

Officials say the coronavirus pandemic has led to growth in the use of Ellie Mae's digital mortgage services.
