The New York Stock Exchange took a rare moment of silence yesterday in honor of George Floyd's burial in his hometown of Houston, Texas.
The stock exchange observed 8 minutes and 46 seconds of silence, representing the length of time former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin pinned Floyd down with his knee, leading to his death.
Minnesotans and others also observed a moment of silence in honor of Floyd.
