NYC to implement new short-term rental regulations

The administration of New York City Mayor Eric Adams is implementing new regulations on short-term rentals.

The measure would require hosts to reside in the rentals they list through Airbnb and other short-term rental services, among other new rules.

Christian Klossner, executive director of the city's Office of Special Enforcement, is projecting up to 10,000 listings will disappear when the regulations go into effect next month.
