NYC sues social media platforms

New York City has filed suit against TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and YouTube.

The suit alleges the platforms are to blame for an increase in mental health issues among young people.

In the suit, the city alleges the social media platforms cost it $100 million in related health programs and services each year.
