Brooklyn, New York-based technology firm Mini-Circuits opened an office in Springfield.
The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce on Dec. 17 hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Mini-Circuits' new location at 2925 E. Battlefield Road, said Parker Reid, the chamber's membership engagement coordinator.
The Springfield office provides customer support for the company that develops technology for telecommunications, aerospace, defense and other industries, according to a news release. Its offerings include communications networks, diagnostic imaging and quantum computing, and officials say the company has over 20,000 customers.
“Superior customer service is a big part of our vision to be a preferred supplier, and we know customers feel loyalty to Mini-Circuits because of the strong relationships they have with our inside sales members,” said Kim Sainato, who leads customer service in the Missouri offices, in the release. “We’re looking for professionals who can come in and proactively build those kinds of relationships with customers in our industry and really grow with the company.”
Sainato this morning said the company penned a lease for 3,500 square feet in August and opened in October. She declined to disclose lease terms for the office that has the capacity for 15 employees.
“The talent pool is so much bigger in Springfield,” she said of adding an office in the Queen City.
Mini-Circuits' Springfield customer support location serves as an extension of the company's Branson office, according to the release. Sainato leads both the Springfield and Branson offices, with 37 employees between them, she said. The company has been in the Branson area since 1990.
