New York Attorney General Letitia James' office disclosed new details into her civil investigation of former President Donald Trump's business.
The investigation into the Trump Organization has found the company put a fraudulent value on multiple assets and misrepresented those values to financial institutions for economic benefit, according to the allegations presented by James' office.
The court filing also alleges the former president “had ultimate authority over a wide swath of conduct by the Trump Organization" involving fraudulent misstatements.
Ronald Fischetti, an attorney for Trump, last month defended the former president in James' probe.
“They have been investigating this for three years," he said. "We are not concerned about it, because he has done nothing wrong.”
