Graphics computing chip maker Nvidia partnered with Uber, Volkswagen and China's Baidu on driverless cars.
Uber plans to use Nvidia's chips for its artificial intelligence system in a fleet of self-driving vehicles.
Similar plans were announced with VW and Baidu. VW officials said they would use the technology to create an "intelligent co-pilot" to assist drivers.
