Nuttybid.com, an Arkansas-based online company, is designed to unite local businesses and provide consumers with shopping opportunities all day, every day.
Donna Kennedy, regional manager of Nuttybid.com, said Cory Paul and Wayne Walton, a cousin of Sam Walton, both of Harrison Ark., started the business about a year ago.
Kennedy said the pair thought they could make a difference helping local people buy locally, but if customers can't find what they wanted in their local markets, they can search nearby states and obtain the desired products without excessive added expense.
The site's "local store" option is a customizable Web site that allows clients to display information about their firms.
