Coronavirus deaths in nursing homes and long-term care facilities have exceeded 3,600, according to research by The Associated Press.
At least 3,621 people had died in the facilities nationwide as of yesterday, up from about 450 deaths 10 days earlier.
The true number of deaths is likely much higher, as most state counts don't include those who died without being tested for COVID-19, according to the report.
