Nucor plans to invest $250 million in Missouri to open a new steel mill in Sedalia.
The largest U.S. producer of steel plans to hire 250 for the plant.
“I’m proud to be here with all of you to stand together with the leaders and the people who made this happen,” Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens said during a news conference. “Everybody was working together to get this done. Then, of course, the fantastic leaders of Nucor who recognized the strength and the potential of this community.”
